And her name shall be...

Drum roll please...

Sophia Madeline Bellamy

It was about time Z and I picked out a middle name for Sophie. I had put it off for some time because I figured the first name was the most important and we had already figured that out. I didn't realize that coming up with a middle name would be so hard. Thankfully Zach and I felt the same way about the name Madeline. We both loved it. So there you have it folks- Sophia Madeline Bellamy.

Goodbye. Hello.

I am a terrible blogger. I would love to convince myself, yet again, that I will get better at it but realistically I know I probably won't with the changes in life that are coming our way. I was getting dressed this morning and looked down at my plain, uncolored nails and thought of all the changes I am so excited for once September 22 gets here. Here are a few in no specific order:

1. Getting to paint my nails. I have kept them untouched the past nine months. I have been so cautious about what chemicals get soaked into my body and I can't wait to put a splash of color back on my feet.

2. Getting to wear regular pants without the stretchy panel. I can't wait to get back into regular jeans. I love jeans, and while this make take a while it is still something I am looking forward to.

3. Not having a swollen body. While I can still see a small outline of my ankles, I am quite excited to be able to see them all the way.

4. Being able to eat a deli meat sandwich and a big salad with ranch dressing. Call me weird but once I was told to not eat deli meats after my first pregnancy visit to the doctor, I didn't realize what a pain this would be and how hard it would actually be to stay away from them. I thought it would be an easy change but I have been looking forward to the day I can eat a hearty turkey sandwich since.

5. Meeting MY little Sophie. It's funny how attached I have become to that uncomfortable little person in my stomach, who for nine months has continued to kick my ribs and do what feels like gymnastics inside my stomach. It has not been the most comfortable nine months of life and I am so excited to meet her, not just to have that part over with, but because she will be MY little girl, MY little Sophie, and I will finally get to meet her face to face.

6. Not huffing and puffing after walking from one room to another. My organs seems to not have as much room as they did nine months ago. My lungs and bladder have been the most noticeable. I'm excited to be able to breath a little better.

7. To not be sweating all day, every day. I have been so hot lately. Yes, it is summer but yes, I am also pregnant. I am excited to be able to not have the air conditioning constantly blowing in the gaps in my clothing to cool down.

8. To not be constantly hungry. I love eating, just not every 45 minutes of my day. I have been constantly hungry and I can't wait for that 45 minutes to turn into a few hours.

9. To see Zach interact with Sophie. I am so excited to see this. I love watching him at family dinners on Sunday as he holds his nephews. He is so cute with them and you can still tell he is a little stiff because he wants to be so careful with them. It's cute to watch and I can't wait to see him do the same with Sophie.

10. Getting to sleep without a body pillow. While this has been nice it has also taken up quite a large chuck of the bed. I can't wait to get that space back.

11. Being able to sleep on my back and stomach. Sleeping on my side the past months has not been what I would consider comfortable and makes sleeping at nice a little harder than usual. I can't wait to get back on my back and stomach.

12. Goodbye zits. I am quite excited to get back on some sort acne medication and have these pesty little friends be gone again.

13. Goodbye unnecessary and unwanted pounds. While it is absolutely necessary to gain weight while pregnant, I can't wait to get back into shape. I am looking forward to this very much.

14. Not having to pee every hour. This has caused a problem not only during the day but more during the night. As much as I like peeing 8 times a night, it will be nice not to visit the bathroom so much.

These are just a few of the changes I am exited to see over the next few months.I know that all the things I have disliked over the past few months will be more than worth it when I see that little girl but I also am excited for the changes that lie ahead. Wish me luck.

California Lovin'

I just came across these pictures from California a few months ago. Although they are a few months late I wanted to share.

Me and Lucy at the beach. What a doll she is.

I was very impressed when I saw this picture for multiple reasons. Not only is Zach a man but he has never been a cheer leader (THANK HEAVENS). I was amazed that he was able to do this toe touch so perfectly.

A lovely day on the beach.

The family at the Bunker's house for June's baby blessing.

I'm lucky to have a mom who enjoys taking her camera with her. Zach and I would have no pictures without her.

One word: typical.

Us at June's baby blessing.

Tick Tock

Time kind of feels like this lately- never ending. I keep counting down the days til Sophia gets here and it never seems to be getting any closer. The days and weeks seem to be going SO slow. If anyone knows how to speed up time I would like to know the secret. It would be much appreciated.

Little Love Letters

Dear Sophia...

We can't wait to meet you! Even that is an understatement. You couldn't come soon enough. I don't know if you are aware of how loved you already are. I'm excited to see who you come out looking like, what color your hair and eyes are, and to hold your little body close to mine. 27 weeks and counting. We're getting close.

Dear Salt Lake City...

You're beautiful. Especially in the mornings as the sun shines through the canyons and out onto the valleys. I quite enjoy your beauty, warm summer weather, and canyons so close. I enjoy my morning hikes, even though my ears freeze some mornings, the shade of your trees, and getting into my toasty car after it's been sitting out in the sun.

Dear Pool...

I dream of you every day as I try to find the perfect day to come and visit you. One day soon. I'm just waiting for the perfect temperature.

Dear Changing Body...

I am finding certain aspects of you quite amusing and others not so much. Some days I find myself trying to poke my belly button back in. It never seems to work to well. Other aspects, which are much more immature and at times disgusting, I have gotten a good laugh out of. Thanks for that at least.

Summer Fun

It has been quite a while since we last posted anything and we have had a few people ask us to update it. So, here it is.

I have been thinking a lot over the past few weeks about things I have wanted to accomplish and do this summer. Those ideas have stayed swirling around in my head and I figured it was time to write them down. I should have started this list earlier so that by the time the beginning of summer rolled around I could get started. Unfortunately I have not been that on the ball. So, here it is. So far.

Beating Heart

Z and I got a chance to go to the doctor yesterday and hear our little peanut's heart beat. It was SUCH a neat experience. I started laughing when I heard it cause it made me so excited. I can't wait to be a mom and I think that Zach is going to make an adorable dad. Little peanut couldn't come soon enough! I already love it so much.

3 months down, 6 to go!

New Addition

I feel like we need to start using this new blog. We created it months ago and haven't touched it once. I think it's about time and I think I have a perfect first post.

Drum roll please...

WE

ARE EXPECTING ONE OF THESE... (Please see below)

ON SEPTEMBER 22, 2011 AND WE COULDN'T BE MORE EXCITED!

(Well...we think it's only one.) I am officially ten weeks tomorrow and I feel like a little pudgy tummy is starting to grow. (The kind where people just think you are getting chubby.) Besides feeling like a pig and wanting to eat all the time, and having to take a few additional naps during the day, I am feeling wonderful. My second doctors appointment is in a few weeks and then the fun stuff begins. By this coming visit I should be able to hear my little peanut's heart beat and in just a few weeks it should be about the size of a plum. How cool is that? Z and I are absolutely ecstatic. We can't wait to be parents and the coming months couldn't go faster.

Anyway, that's our exciting news. We couldn't be happier.
More updates to come.
